Need proof that Berry is a destination of choice for students seeking a top-notch educational experience? Look no further than our newest Vikings.

In terms of size, the new arrivals rank among the largest incoming classes in Berry history, with 620 first-year students and 38 transfers pushing overall enrollment to 2,166. In stature, they are equally impressive. Here’s a SHORT list of their accomplishments to date:

• 22% were in the top 10% of their high school class.
• 47% have been recognized for extraordinary academic experiences.
• 30 graduated as valedictorians or salutatorians.
• 109 captained athletic teams.
• 94 served on student councils.
• 14 were senior class presidents.
• 29 have been recognized as Eagle Scouts or Girl Scouts Gold/Silver Award winners.

This amazing group got their toes tapping right away thanks to a “flash mob” staged by student leaders in the Cage Center. By the time the first day of classes arrived, they had made themselves right at home, showing off their best water-slide moves on the Mountain Campus. More coverage.
