Selfie SpotIn our last issue, we challenged readers to identify the source of the quotation now immortalized on the colonnade of Green Hall. You might answer Martha Berry … but that would be wrong. The person who actually uttered the phrase, “Whether at work or at play, do your best,” is former Harvard University President Charles William Elliot. Congrats to past champion Alyssa Nobles (12C) for once again delivering the winning tweet.

This month, we turn our attention to one of our favorite subjects – movies! Recently, Berry got its very own “selfie spot,” courtesy of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. These spots, located around the state, highlight Georgia’s growing presence in the film industry. For a shout-out in our next issue, tweet the location of Berry’s selfie spot – signifying our use as a location in Remember the Titans. If you include a selfie of yourself at that spot, we might share that as well!

Green HallLast month, we challenged readers to name the Berry alumnus who claimed national honors in the 1,500-meter race at the 2017 USA Track and Field Masters Outdoor Championships. Berry Kindermusik Director Kathryn Dugger Nobles (82C) nabbed her own championship (of the trivia variety) by correctly responding David Matherne (87C).

For September, we decided to focus our attention on some of the most familiar words on the Berry campus. For a shout-out in our next issue, “do your best” to tweet the name of the person who uttered the quotation immortalized on the colonnade of Green Hall. (Hint: It’s probably not who you think.) Don’t forget to include the hashtag #berrycollegetrivia.
